Defining IIF Export Options

About
Use the IIF Map service to define options for exporting detail credit and debit transaction data from the Balance Reporting service as an IIF file. You can then run this export using the Previous Day Report service to generate your IIF file. Note that you cannot export information to an IIF file from the Same Day Report service.

For each account, the system enables you to identify

  • The name of the corresponding account in QuickBooks® to which you want to write this account information when you import the IIF file, and
  • Whether you want to include information for this account in your IIF file.

Previous Day Report
Setting Report Selection Criteria
The Previous Day Account Report page consists of two sections: a Query area and the Report area. The Query area is displayed at the top of the page and provides you with options for selecting the date range for the report and options for exporting the report. The lower section of the page displays the report based on the dates entered. The page initially displays with previous business day's report. The list below describes the page features.

Date
This is the date of the information you wish to export or display. The system will automatically show the most recent previous business day, but you may enter a specific date or range of dates. The small blue icon to the right of each date field is a calendar; select it to use a visual aid in selecting your date(s).

Refresh Button
After you have selected the desired dates, select this button to generate the requested report, which is displayed in the lower section of the report page.

File Output
This list box displays the format types for which you are allowed to create export files of the report. The available options are: Comma Delimited (CSV), IIF (QuickBooks), and BAI Output.

Export Button
After you have selected the desired export format type, select this button to generate an export file. You will be given the option to open the file from the current location or save the file to a location you specify.

Viewing the Report
The Report area will display with the updated results once the Refresh button is selected. The report layout will display each account number for which the user has access to view balance reporting data. The report will display a different section for each day included in the date range.

A red Expand/Collapse arrow will display in front of each account. Selecting this arrow will expand or collapse the detail information for the corresponding account. When the arrow points downward, the detail information is displayed (expanded). When the arrow points to the right, the detail information is hidden (collapsed).

If more than one day of information is selected for display, a Range Totals information line will appear at the bottom of the report.
